NEXCO EAST Koriyama Management Office (Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture) will be closing the Asaka Parking Area (hereinafter referred to as "PA") on the Out-bound lane of the E4 Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Tohoku Expressway") at night to carry out pavement repair work.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing yourself plenty of time when going out.

2. Construction overview

Tohoku Expressway　Out-bound The parking lot will be widened and pavement repair work will be performed at the Azumi PA on Route 4.
Since there is a notable lack of parking spaces for large vehicles in this area, the existing park area will be widened by converting it into a parking lot. At the same time, pavement repair and road surface markings will be redone.
The section where this work will be performed is a single lane, and since it is not possible to perform the work using normal lane restrictions, it will be necessary to close the ramp to perform the work.
Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to customers, the ramp will be closed during the nighttime on weekdays when traffic volume is low, so that the work can be carried out in an intensive and efficient manner. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as this work is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway.
