NEXCO EAST Sendai Management Office (Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture) will be closing Out-bound exit ramp of the Wakayanagi Kannari Interchange (hereinafter referred to as the "IC") on the E4 Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the "Tohoku Expressway") at night to carry out construction to replace an expansion joint.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we ask that you please use the interchanges before and after the intersection to take a detour. We ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing yourself plenty of time when traveling out.

Please allow plenty of time when traveling as detours will increase travel time.

3. Construction overview

Tohoku Expressway　Out-bound Due to damage to the expansion device of the bridge near the Wakayanagi/Kansei IC, work to replace the expansion device will be performed on the Wakayanagi/Kansei Line. The area where this work will be performed is close to the ramp junction of the IC, and the ramp will be closed during the work to ensure safe traffic flow. In order to minimize inconvenience to customers, the ramp will be closed during the nighttime on weekdays when traffic volume is low, so that the work can be carried out in a concentrated and efficient manner. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as this construction is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway.
