Highway People and Town Network (NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office [Miyagino Ward, Sendai City], etc.) will hold"Highway Festa Tohoku 2026"at Kotodai Park in Sendai City on Saturday, September 5th and Sunday, September 6th, 2026.
This event brings together local performing arts, regional cuisine, and other "things unique to each region" from the six Tohoku prefectures connected by Expressway, allowing visitors to enjoy themselves and rediscover the charm of the Tohoku region.
This event has attracted approximately 1 million visitors to date, and we are pleased to announce that it is now in its 23rd year. We have a variety of gourmet food and stage events planned, so please invite your family and friends and come join us!

We sell Tohoku specialty products and delicious local gourmet food.
In addition to Tohoku's local noodles, there are plenty of other delicious delicacies loved by locals!

Special Talk Stage

We will be holding a special talk stage featuring actor Takaya Matsutani, who played the role of Shintaro Yokota of the Hanshin Tigers in the movie "Glorious Back Home" and won the "Newcomer of the Year" award at the 49th Japan Academy Awards, and Emiri Nakagawa, who serves as the image character for NEXCO EAST!

We will also offer the opportunity to ride in aerial work platforms and patrol cars that you wouldn't normally get to see up close on Expressway.
We also have a magic class for kids where they can learn magic from a professional magician!

Highway Sugoroku

A giant board game appears where you can win local Tohoku specialties in a lottery once you reach the goal!
This is a participatory event that can be enjoyed by both adults and children, allowing them to deepen their understanding of Expressway while having fun.
