NEXCO EAST Sendai Management Office (Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture) E4 Due to pavement repair work, lane restrictions will be in place all day on the southbound lanes Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Tohoku Expressway") between the Out-bound-Miyagi Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC") and the Tomiya Junction (hereinafter referred to as "JCT").
Please observe the speed limit and maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front to avoid rear-end collisions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but this construction is necessary to ensure the safe and secure use of Expressway, so we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Usage Guide

• In stormy weather, it will be postponed to the spare day.

2. Construction overview

For Tohoku Expressway between Sendai Miyagi IC and Tomiya JCT, please see separate announcement. ^*1 As previously announced, we are planning renovation work starting in October. During the renovation period, the number of lanes available for traffic will be reduced, and we anticipate that more customers will be using the expressway than usual. Therefore, in order to ensure that customers can use Expressway safely and securely, we will be carrying out repair work on damaged pavement. This work will require continuous operation with lane closures throughout the day. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

3. Requests when using

1. Traffic congestion is expected. If you plan to use this section of road, please check the latest road traffic information and allow extra time for your journey.

   

2. As the lanes and shoulders of the road are narrow, please adhere to the speed limit, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, and take care to avoid rear-end collisions. In addition, as the lanes change significantly before and after the restricted area, please follow the local guide signs and other instructions.
3. Please be aware that construction vehicles will be entering and exiting the area surrounding the construction site, so please be mindful of what is ahead.
