This is an overview of the financial results of NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) for the 8th fiscal year 2012 (fiscal year ending March 2013).
The current fiscal year is one year from April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013.
Points for FY2012 Financial Results (Consolidated)
In fiscal 2012, traffic volume (including free traffic) decreased compared to the previous fiscal year due to a reduction in toll-free measures in the Tohoku region, but toll traffic increased. This allows
- Expressway business, toll revenue increased, and operating income was 3.6 billion yen (up 3.6 billion yen from the previous year).
- In the road rest area business, operating income was ¥ 4.1 billion (down ¥ 0.8 billion year-on-year) due to a decrease in operating fee income due to a decrease in sales at rest facility stores due to a decrease in traffic volume.
- Operating income for all businesses was ¥ 7.6 billion (up ¥ 2.8 billion from the previous year), and net income was ¥ 8.2 billion (up ¥ 3.7 billion from the previous year).
