NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has summarized traffic congestion prediction and countermeasures due to traffic concentration during the Obon period [August 8 (Thu)-August 18 (Sun): 11 days].
1 Request for distributed use
- This traffic congestion forecast is based on the traffic conditions of the past Bon Festival, New Year holidays, and Golden Week.
- The number of traffic jams during the Obon period (more than 10 km at peak) 161 times, 11 times more than 150 times the previous year It is a forecast.
・ Out-bound line 64 times: +7 times (57 times last year), In-bound line 97 times: +4 times (previous year 93 times) * Previous year (H24.8/9-8/19: 11 days) - Congestion trends during the Obon period Saturday 10th and 11th Sunday on the Out-bound line, Wednesday 14th and 15th Thursday on the In-bound line We anticipate that there will be a lot of traffic congestion.
