 NEXCO東日本(東京都千代田区)、NEXCO中日本(名古屋市中区)、NEXCO西日本(大阪市北区)(以下、NEXCO3社)は、鋼橋においてドローン(UAV:Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)による撮影動画を活用した点検を導入しますのでお知らせします。
 法令では、橋梁等の道路構造物を5年に1度、健全性の診断の根拠となる現在の状態を近接目視または近接目視と同等の情報が得られる方法により、点検を行うことが定められています。近年、建設業界全体での技術者不足や働き方改革が求められていること等から、点検業務の高度化や生産性向上がより一層求められています。
 これまで、鋼橋では近接目視による点検を行ってまいりましたが、より点検の高度化に向けた取り組みを加速させるため、NEXCO3社は連携して、ドローンによる撮影動画を活用した点検について検証しました。
 その結果、

  1. Health diagnosis can be performed with the same accuracy as conventional close-up visual inspection.
  2. It is easy to understand the condition of areas where it is difficult for people to get close and confirm deformations using conventional close-up visual inspection.
  3. Inspection costs can be reduced by eliminating the need for traffic regulations and inspection scaffolding that were previously required.

 ということが確認でき、鋼橋(主として鈑桁橋・箱桁橋)において動画による点検を令和6年4月より導入することに決定しました。
 今後も、NEXCO3社は連携して点検業務の高度化に資する検討を進めてまいります。

On-site, inspection engineers will visually inspect the structure to understand the condition of the bridge.

Obtain video using a drone and check the video indoors to understand the condition of the bridge.

Matters revealed through verification

  1. Ensures accuracy equivalent to conventional close-up visual inspection (comparison at the same location)

    Since the drone is brought close to the structure to capture the video, any deformation that can be confirmed with close visual inspection can be grasped in the same way.
    (If it is difficult to understand the condition from the recorded video, a separate inspection technician will perform close visual inspection, palpation, percussion, etc.)

    With conventional inspections, it is not easy to visually confirm deformations in narrow areas.

    Drones make it easy to enter and approach narrow spaces, which was previously difficult, and it is easier to understand the condition of structures.

    When using a bridge inspection vehicle, lane restrictions or road closures are required on Expressway expressway (the photo shows the inspection conducted with the road closed).
    Additionally, if a bridge inspection vehicle was not available, it was necessary to use expensive mobile suspended scaffolding for close-up visual inspection.
