NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has compiled information on traffic conditions during the Golden Week period [April 25th (Sat) to May 6th (Wed), 2026: 12 days] and would like to inform you of the details.

  • Average daily traffic volume was 99% of that of the same period last year.
  • The number of traffic jams exceeding 10km was 104, a decrease of 7 compared to the same period last year.
  • The number of traffic jams exceeding 30km was 10, a decrease of one compared to the same period last year.
  • The longest traffic jam was 43.2 km long, starting near Kawagoe Interchange on the E17 Kan-Etsu Kan-Etsu Expressway (In-bound) at 5:15 PM on Monday, May 4th.
