NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu Ward, Sapporo City) will carry out a traffic safety campaign jointly with the Hokkaido Police, local governments and characters in time with the Spring National Traffic Safety Campaign (May 11-20). .
In early spring, the snow melts and the road surface condition improves, which reduces the tension during driving, resulting in increased drowsiness, carelessness, and vague driving. When driving on the Expressway, make frequent breaks in SA or PA once every two hours.

(1) Take frequent breaks with SA / PA!
Approximately 50% of the causes of traffic accidents on Expressway in spring are due to dozing and side-walking driving.
When driving on the Expressway, take frequent breaks with SA / PA every two hours, even if you are not tired.
(2) Prevention of motorcycle accidents
In early spring, the snow melts and it is the touring season.
In 2018, 10 people died in an accident involving a motorcycle on a Expressway within our company.
Even with Expressway, which is easy to speed up, make sure that you have a comfortable travel plan and that you keep your speed.
In addition, riding a motorcycle is subject to wind resistance in the same posture for a long time. I would like frequent breaks.
(3) Correct wearing of seat belts and child seats for all seats
All seats, including the rear seats, are required to wear seat belts or child seats when riding a car. To reduce the damage in a traffic accident, please wear seat belts or child seats correctly on all seats.
