NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu-ku, Sapporo) will hold a "Winter Driving School in Kiroro Resort" on December 21st to promote the importance of safe driving and the improvement of driving skills as a traffic safety measure in winter when accidents are increasing. It will be held on Saturday.
This is the 7th event to be held in Hokkaido. This year as well, we will welcome a professional driver led by Kenjiro Shinozuka, who won the first overall victory for the Japanese in the Paris-Dakar Rally.
Limited to 35 people, no participation fee, we are recruiting participants from November 15th (Friday) to December 6th (Friday).

• [1] Practical training
  • Professional drivers Katsumi Muraoka and Masato Sekine ride in the car driven by the participants, led by Mr. Shinozuka.
    You can enjoy learning the tips of driving one-on-one while actually driving the dedicated course.
    You will learn how to move a car and how to deal with it by driving with "sudden" movements (sudden steering, sudden acceleration, sudden braking), which are strictly prohibited on winter roads.
• [2] Stack escape / flaming cylinder ignition experience session
  • You can experience the escape from the stack on the winter road and the ignition of the flaming cylinder.
• [3] One-point lesson on winter road driving
  • Mr. Shinozuka will talk about his experiences on winter roads, safe driving points on winter roads, and how to deal with emergencies.
