NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu-ku, Sapporo) will be held on October 5th. E5 Do-O Expressway (Hokkaido Expressway) At Tomakomai-higashi Interchange (IC), in collaboration with the Hokkaido Police and Hokkaido Regional Development Bureau, violation of the Road Law (violation of vehicle restriction order (vehicle limit order), etc.) and violation of Road Traffic Law (loading weight, etc.) We will carry out a simultaneous crackdown on restrictions violations, etc.) For a total of 7 vehicles, we provided guidance on vehicle weight inspection and loading methods.
From the viewpoint of traffic accident prevention and road maintenance, we regularly crack down on each IC, but the traffic of violating vehicles is still unending. As the renewal work of Expressway is in full swing, we aim to realize a safe and secure Expressway space by preventing vehicles that violate weight restrictions from adversely affecting the road surface and road structures. We will continue to cooperate with related organizations to further strengthen the crackdown.

2. About our efforts to prevent violations of vehicle restrictions, etc.
In principle, vehicles that violate the general limits of width, weight, length, and minimum turning radius stipulated by the Vehicle Restriction Ordinance (Vehicle Limit Ordinance), which is a Cabinet Order of the Road Law, are prohibited from traveling on the road. If a vehicle that violates the vehicle limit ordinance, etc., travels on the road, it may cause a traffic accident or damage or deteriorate the road.
In order to prevent the safety and security of our customers from being threatened by these situations, NEXCO EAST has organized a "Vehicle Limit Corps" (Note 2) and is regularly cracking down on vehicles that violate vehicle limits. In addition, we are taking measures to suspend discounts for "large-lot, frequent discount" (Note 3) contractors who have repeatedly violated vehicle restrictions.

If it is unavoidable, you can drive a vehicle that exceeds the limit value of the vehicle limit ordinance by obtaining a special vehicle passage permit from the road administrator in advance.

This is a measure implemented by NEXCO3 for customers who frequently use Expressway By signing a large-lot / frequent discount contract, tolls on Expressway managed by NEXCO3 will be discounted.
