NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu Ward, Sapporo City) will hold the event on September 23rd (Saturday/Holiday) and 24th (Sunday) at E5 Do-O Expressway (Hokkaido Expressway) Waatsutsu Parking Area (PA) (Out-bound line, towards Sapporo) At the "Hokkaido Highway Show Area® 2023 in Waatsu PA", we will collaborate with artist Yuki Anai of non-classic Co., Ltd. (Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture) to create a digital space that utilizes light and sound.
There will be sound gardening in the flowerbeds inside the venue that will play various music when you touch them ^[1], interactive light works that you can enjoy using soft serve ice cream in the store ^[2], and light installations in the lawn area ^[3]. You can enjoy a mechanism that will guide you involuntarily.

2. How we came to collaborate with artist Yuki Anai

NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office collaborated with NEXCO-East Innovation and Communications Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo), specified non-profit organization 365 Bunnoichi (Meguro-ku, Tokyo), and non-classic Co., Ltd. to create a design at the E5 Hokkaido Tomakomai Nishi Interchange. We have jointly developed a traffic guidance system that utilizes lights.
Due to this connection, we collaborated with artist Yuki Anai of non-classic Co., Ltd. and exhibited his work at "Hokkaido Highway Show Area® 2023 in Waatsu PA".

3. Artist Yuki Anai (non-classic Co., Ltd.)

Representative director of non-classic Co., Ltd., media artist. Born in Oita Prefecture in 1987. Completed the Graduate School of Media Design, Keio University. While in university, he started a digital art team at teamLab, and has been involved in the development of in-house products as well as many live productions for famous artists.
After becoming independent, he established non-classic Co., Ltd., and has been involved in many large-scale spatial productions, including the art illumination "Yorunoyo" that colors the entire Yokohama area, the autumn special production at Nikko Toshogu Shrine, and "Meyameya" held at Kobe Meriken Park. handles.
Also, as an artist, he has participated in the global media art festival "Ars Electronica", the "Athens Digital Art Festival" held in Athens, Greece, and the "Nakanojo Biennale", an international contemporary art festival held every other year in Nakanojo Town, Gunma Prefecture. He has been involved in activities both domestically and internationally, including being invited to participate in various events.
