NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office and NEXCO CENTRAL Tokyo Regional Head Office /Hachioji Regional Head Office, year-end and New Year holidays [December 22, 2011 (Thursday)-January 4, 2012 (Wednesday) 14 days] Kanto Koshin region and Shizuoka prefecture We have summarized the trends and countermeasures for traffic congestion (10 km or more) due to traffic concentration that is expected to occur on the Expressway.

Although the forecast is based on past traffic jams during the year-end and New Year holidays and recent traffic conditions, the actual traffic congestion may differ from the forecast due to accidents and weather conditions, so before departure, Please check the latest traffic information.

1 Congestion prediction
(1) Trend of traffic congestion
Out-bound direction tends to be dispersed, but it is predicted that congestion will occur mainly from December 29th (Thursday) to 30th (Friday) and January 2nd (Monday) to 3rd (Tuesday). In-bound direction is expected to congestion on January 2 (Monday) to 3 (Tuesday) it is concentrated.
