NEXCO EAST Utsunomiya Management Office (Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture) will carry out pavement repair work at the E4 Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter "Tohoku Expressway") Kanuma Interchange (hereinafter "IC") and the exit ramp of Utsunomiya IC. Therefore, night lamp closure will be implemented. In addition, Tohoku Expressway Tsugani Shikata Parking Area (hereinafter referred to as "PA") (In-bound) will be closed at night for barrier-free construction.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you have plenty of time when you go out. In addition, rest facilities cannot be used while the PA is closed, so please use other rest facilities.

Since there is significant deterioration and damage to the pavement at the Kanuma IC and Utsunomiya IC exit ramps Tohoku Expressway, we will carry out pavement repair work. In addition, pavement raising work will be carried out along with barrier-free construction on Tohoku Expressway Tsuga Nishikata PA (In-bound).
Since these construction works cannot be carried out with normal lane restrictions and parking lot usage restrictions, it is necessary to work with the ramps and PAs closed. Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to customers, we will close the ramps and PAs at night on weekdays when traffic is light, and carry out construction work intensively and efficiently.
We ask for your understanding and cooperation as this work is necessary for safe and comfortable use of Expressway.

3. How to obtain traffic information

(1) Guidance by distribution / posting

• Notice signs, posters and leaflets will be posted at toll booths and rest facilities nearby.
• A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.
• A notice board will be installed on the lamp to be closed.
