Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Management Office

At NEXCO EAST Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Management Office (Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture), the CA Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway (hereinafter referred to as ``Aqua Line'') runs from Kawasaki Ukishima Junction (hereinafter referred to as ``JCT'') to Kisarazu Kaneda Interchange (hereinafter referred to as ``JCT''). Interchange (IC) and Aqua Line Kawasaki Ukishima JCT will be closed to traffic at night and ramps will be closed due to construction work to change the demarcation lines to prevent traffic congestion.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you have plenty of time to spare when you go out.

    • During the road closure of Section I, rest facilities within the section will be closed as follows.
      Aqualine Umihotaru PA 9pm to 5am the next morning
    • In stormy weather, it will be postponed to the spare day.
    • The decision to carry out construction will be announced on X (formerly Twitter) etc. around 5:00 pm on the day of construction.

2. Detour

For detour information, please refer to the attached document [PDF: 230KB].
The detour will increase the travel time, so please allow plenty of time for your trip.

3. Construction overview

Aqua Line Kawasaki Ukishima JCT - Pavement repair work and road marking work will be carried out at Kisarazu Kaneda IC and Kawasaki Ukishima JCT as part of zone line change work aimed at reducing traffic congestion.
The section where this construction will be carried out is a junction from the JCT, and construction cannot be carried out under normal lane regulations.To avoid inconvenience to customers as much as possible, we will close the road on weekday nights when traffic is light and carry out the construction work. Execute intensively and efficiently.
This work is necessary to ensure safe and comfortable use Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

  • Regarding lot line changes

　After the closure of Section I, the merging method at Kawasaki Ukishima JCT will change as shown in the diagram below. Please be careful when passing by.

Four. How to obtain traffic information

(1) Guidance by distribution / posting

  • Notice signs, posters and leaflets will be posted at toll booths and rest facilities nearby.
  • A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.

    The highway radio section is indicated by signs on the Expressway.
  • Highway Information Terminal
    We will inform you of road information in an easy-to-understand manner by the monitor screens installed in SA / PA.

    You can get road traffic information with VICS-compatible car navigation and other on-board devices.
