NEXCO EAST Tokorozawa Management Office (Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture) will be closing the E17 Kan-Etsu Expressway (hereinafter "Kan-Etsu Expressway") Kawagoe Interchange (hereinafter "IC") at night due to pavement repair work.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you have plenty of time to spare when you go out.

1. 1. Closing location and date and time

1. Closed location:
   Kan-Etsu Expressway Kawagoe IC Entrance ramp from National Route 16 Sayama direction

   Implementation date:

   April 1st (Monday) and April 2nd (Tuesday), 2020

   Every night from 20:00 to 5:00 the next morning

   Preparation day:

   Wednesday, April 3, 2020, Thursday, April 4, 2020

   Every night from 20:00 to 5:00 the next morning

2. Detour

Please refer to the diagram below for detours when the road is closed.
The detour from the Kawagoe IC entrance from National Route 16 Sayama is as shown by the blue arrow, towards National Route 16 Saitama/Kawagoe City ⇒ Turn right at Wakita Shinmachi ⇒ Turn right at Asahicho 1-chome ⇒ Turn left at the second traffic light ⇒ City Road 1 Turn left at the second traffic light ⇒ Turn left at Shinjukucho 3-chome ⇒ Turn left at Wakita Shinmachi ⇒ Proceed to Kawagoe IC entrance.
If you take the detour as shown in the diagram below, the travel time is expected to be approximately 16 minutes (normally 0 minutes).

3. Construction overview

Due to damage to the road surface at the Kawagoe IC entrance ramp Kan-Etsu Expressway, pavement repair work will be carried out. The section where this work will be carried out has one lane, and since the work cannot be carried out under normal lane regulations, it is necessary to close the ramp.
Therefore, in order to minimize the inconvenience to customers, the ramp will be closed on weekday nights when traffic is light, and construction will be carried out intensively and efficiently.
This work is necessary to ensure safe and comfortable use Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

Four. How to obtain traffic information

(1) Guidance by distribution / posting

• Notice signs, posters and leaflets will be posted at toll booths and rest facilities nearby.
• A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.
• On the day of the ramp closing, a detour sign will be installed at the main intersection of the detour.
