NEXCO東日本新潟支社（新潟市中央区）は、年末年始時期〔平成24年12月26日（水）～平成25年1月6日（日）：12日間〕における新潟県内の高速道路についてお知らせします。
1．年末年始時期の渋滞予測
It is predicted that there will be no congestion of more than 5 km due to traffic concentration on Expressway in the prefecture.
期間中、県内の高速道路では交通集中を原因とする、5km以上の渋滞は発生しないと予測しておりますが、降雪時の速度低下による渋滞やチェーンチェック※等による渋滞が発生する可能性がございます。また、事故や故障車等の影響により道路交通状況は大きく変わりますので、最新の道路交通情報（ 別紙【PDF：155KB】）をご確認いただき、時間に余裕を持ってお出かけください。
- 県外の高速道路の年末年始時期の渋滞予測は、下記にて掲出しております。

- The chain check is to check the installation status of winter tires or chains, which is carried out for the safety of customers at a rest facility in front of the mountainous area during heavy snowfall. (Chain check may be carried out on Kan-Etsu Expressway and Joshinetsu roads.)
2．高速道路での安全運転のお願い
There are many fatal accidents on Expressway in the prefecture.
新潟支社管内の高速道路では今年に入り死亡事故が多発しており、平成24年1月以降「8件」の死亡事故が発生しております。（平成24年11月29日 現在）
In our Regional Head Office, we cooperate with related organizations such as Niigata Prefectural Expressway Traffic Police Corps and other organizations to continuously carry out traffic safety awareness activities and call for safe driving. As we approach full-scale winter in the future, we ask for "early replacement of winter tires", "prohibition of dangerous dangerous sudden steering and braking", "sufficient distance between vehicles", etc. Thank you for your continued support for safe driving.
