When you go out, please be sure to wear winter tires and other winter gear and drive safely. Also, in the event of heavy snowfall, please refrain from going out unless it is absolutely necessary. If you drive with snow piled high on the roof of your car, it may fall off while you are driving on Expressway and cause cars behind to run over it. This can lead to accidents when trying to avoid snow piles, so please remove the snow from your car's roof before driving.
1. Congestion at Yuzawa IC
During the year-end and New Year holidays, there is a possibility of congestion at the Yuzawa IC on Kan-Etsu Expressway to the concentration of customers skiing and other activities. Sudden braking on winter roads can be extremely dangerous, so please be careful of your following distance.
2. Regarding application of ETC holiday discount
Holiday discounts for Expressway etc. will not be applied during the year-end and New Year period from December 30th (Saturday) to January 3rd (Wednesday).
