NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Chuo-ku, Niigata City) is pleased to announce its traffic congestion forecast (traffic congestion of 5km or more *1) for Expressway under its jurisdiction during the Golden Week period [12 days from Saturday, April 25th to Wednesday, May 6th, 2026].
To alleviate traffic congestion, we ask for your cooperation in "distributed use" by avoiding days and times when congestion is predicted. Traffic conditions can change significantly due to accidents, other disruptions, and weather conditions. Please check the latest road traffic information before using public transportation.

Four. Holiday discounts are not applied during Golden Week.

To avoid worsening traffic congestion, holiday discounts will not be applied during Golden Week. Please see below for details.

5. Eliminate wrong-way driving -Expressway are one-way streets -

Driving the wrong way is a dangerous act that could put your life at risk. U-turns and backing up are strictly prohibited.
If you hear or see information about wrong-way driving, slow down, keep a sufficient distance, and pay close attention to the movements of the vehicle ahead. Please see below for details.
