NEXCO EAST Aizuwakamatsu Management Office (Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture) is carrying out expansion and contraction equipment replacement work at the Bandai-Atami Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC") on the E49 Ban-Etsu Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Ban-Etsu Expressway"). In order to do so, lights will be closed at night.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you have plenty of time to spare when you go out.

2. Construction overview

The Bandai Atami IC on Ban-Etsu Expressway will be closed overnight due to expansion and retraction device replacement work.
As construction work cannot be carried out with normal lane restrictions, the ramp must be closed before work can be carried out. Therefore, in order to minimize the inconvenience to customers, the ramp will be closed on weekday nights when traffic is light, and construction will be carried out intensively and efficiently. This work is necessary to ensure safe and comfortable use Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

3. How to obtain traffic information

  • Notice signs, posters and leaflets will be posted at toll booths and rest facilities nearby.
  • A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.
