NEXCO EAST Iwaki Management Office (Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture) will be closing ramps at night to carry out pavement repair work on the E6 Joban Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the "Joban Expressway") and the E49 Ban-Etsu Expressway (hereinafter referred to as the "Ban-Etsu Expressway") at Iwaki Junction (hereinafter referred to as the "JCT").
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing yourself plenty of time when going out.

　迂回により所要時間が長くなりますので、お時間にゆとりをもってお出かけください。

3. 3. About transfer adjustment due to closure

　夜間閉鎖により高速道路を一旦流出し、閉鎖箇所を迂回して、再流入して順方向に乗り継がれるお客さまには、ご利用区間に応じて通行料金を調整する「乗継調整」を実施します。（別紙-2【PDF：184KB】参照）

How to use transit adjustment

ETC customers

  • For customers using ETC, please drive wirelessly at designated outflow ICs, and also wirelessly drive at re-inflow ICs. (Transfer certificates are not issued for ETC vehicles)
  • ETC time zone discount will be applied, considering the transited journey as one.
    Toll charges are adjusted at the time of billing, so they may differ from those displayed at the toll gate.
  • Insert the same ETC card for all journeys and pass through the ETC lane at the tollgate.

Customers such as cash

  • Customers paying with cash, etc. should receive a "transfer certificate" at the outflow designated IC, then take a "transit ticket" at the re-inflow IC, and then take the "transition certificate" at the toll booth where they pay the toll for the first time. Please hand over your ``book'' and ``traffic ticket.''

Common to ETC and cash customers

  • If the road closure is lifted after exiting at an exit IC, the toll will be adjusted even if you re-enter from an IC in the road closure section in the forward direction or from an exit IC.

Four. Construction content

Due to damage to the road surface at the Iwaki JCT ramp connecting Ban-Etsu Expressway and Joban Expressway, pavement repair work will be carried out. The section where this work will be carried out is one lane, and since the work cannot be carried out under normal lane restrictions, the ramp must be closed to carry out the work.
Therefore, to minimize inconvenience to customers, we will close ramps on weekday nights when traffic volume is low, and carry out construction work in a concentrated and efficient manner. This construction work is necessary to ensure safe and comfortable use of Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

5. How to obtain information about Expressway

(1) Guidance by distribution / posting

  • Advance notice signs, flyers and digital signage will be posted at nearby toll booths and rest facilities.

(2) Expressway information available before you leave

  • Road information board
  • Highway radio (AM1620kHz)
    The highway radio section is indicated by signs on the Expressway.
  • VICS
    Road information can be obtained from devices equipped with VICS-compatible car navigation systems.
