  • Increasing tourists to Shonan area (P2~3)
    ・In the Shonan area, we feel that we are seeing an increase in the number of tourists from distant places such as the northern Kanto region.

Overview of the Ken-O Road Expressway section

  • Ken-o Expressway (Ken-O Road) is a total area planned to be located within a radius of 40-60km from the city center for the purpose of facilitating road traffic in the metropolitan area and strengthening communication between cities along the line. It is a ring-shaped motorway with a length of about 300 km. On Saturday, October 31, 2015, the extension of about 10.8km between Okegawa Kitamoto IC and Shiraoka Iris IC was opened, and Ken-O Road Saitama section was fully opened. Ken-O Road The Saitama section began in 1985 with the commercialization between the prefectural border and Kan-Etsu Expressway, and it has reached the opening of all lines after about 30 years. With this opening, Ken-O Road has been open for about 241 km so far.
