NEXCO EAST Utsunomiya Management Office (Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture), use the ramps of the E50 Kita-Kanto Expressway (hereinafter "Kita Kanto Expressway") and the E4 Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter "Tohoku Expressway Expressway") Iwafune Junction (hereinafter "JCT"). We will close the lamp at night to replace the sign board.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you will have time to spare when you go out.

2 Construction overview

At Iwafune JCT at Tohoku Expressway in Kita Kanto Expressway, we will replace the sign board to number the sign board.
Since it is not possible to carry out construction under normal lane regulations, it is necessary to close the lamps before starting work. Therefore, in order to avoid inconvenience to customers as much as possible, we will close the lamps on weekday nights when traffic is light and carry out construction intensively and efficiently. This work is necessary to use Expressway safely and comfortably, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

3 Detour

The JCT detours that will be closed due to this construction are as follows.
When you go out, please leave plenty of time.

[1] When Tohoku Expressway (In-bound line) from Fukushima / Mito via Iwafune JCT
　As shown by the orange arrow, turn left after exiting the Tochigi IC → Prefectural Road 32 → National Road 293 → Prefectural Road 16 and flow from Sano Tanuma IC into the Kita Kanto Expressway.
If you make a detour as shown below, it will take about 30 minutes (usually about 16 minutes).

[2] When heading for Fukushima / Mito from the Kita Kanto Expressway (to the east) from Takasaki via Iwafune JCT
　After leaving the Sano-Tanuma IC as shown by the blue arrow, go straight toward National Highway 293 and turn left → Prefectural Road 16 → National Highway 293 → Prefectural Road 32, and flow into the Tohoku Expressway
If you make a detour as shown below, it will take about 30 minutes (usually about 16 minutes).

4 Transfer adjustment with lamp closure

Expressway due to the closure of the ramp, bypass the closed section, re-inflow and transfer in the forward direction, we will implement "transfer adjustment" to adjust the toll according to the section used To do. (Refer to the attached sheet [PDF: 211KB])​

ETC customers

• Customers using ETC should run the outflow designated IC wirelessly and the re-inflow designated IC wirelessly. (No transit certificate will be issued for ETC vehicles.)
• ETC time zone discount will be applied, considering the transited journey as one.
  Toll charges are adjusted at the time of billing, so they may differ from those displayed at the toll gate.

Customers such as cash

• Customers who pay by cash, etc. should receive the "passage certificate" at the outflow designated IC, and then get the "passport" at the re-inflow designated IC, and then make the "transfer" at the toll booth that pays the fare first. Please give us your "certificate" and "passport".

5 How to obtain traffic information

(1) Guidance by distribution / posting

• Notice signs, posters, and leaflets will be posted at rest facilities and toll gates around Iwafune JCT.
• Post banners on overpass bridges on Expressway.
