Expressway traffic conditions during the Golden Week period (preliminary report) [NEXCO EAST]

NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has summarized the traffic conditions during the Golden Week period [April 28, 2020 (Friday) to May 7, 2020 (Sunday): 10 days]. To do.

The average daily traffic volume was 109% compared to the same period last year (down to 80% compared to 2019 [before the corona crisis]).
There were 91 traffic jams of 10 km or more, which was 97% compared to the same period last year (down to 54% compared to 2019 [before Corona]).
The number of traffic jams of 30 km or more was 7 times, which was 50% compared to the same period last year (down to 28% compared to 2019 [before the corona crisis]).
The maximum traffic jam length was 54.0km, which occurred around 9:00 on May 3 (Wednesday), near the Fujioka JCT on the E17 Kanetsu Kan-Etsu Expressway (Out-bound line).
