Notice of restrictions on use and relocation of some facilities

NEXCO EAST Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Management Office (Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture) and Trans-Tokyo Bay Highway Co. Ltd. (Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo) are carrying out renovation work to replace the aging stairs, escalators, and roof at the Umihotaru Parking Area (hereinafter referred to as "PA") on the CA Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Aqua-Line"). The work will be carried out in stages, alternating construction locations, over a long period until spring 2027.
Due to construction work, the large parking lot on the first floor of the PA (In-bound lane), as well as some of the stairs, escalators, and walkways on the first to fifth floors will be restricted from January 2026 to late April 2026.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Roof and stair construction:

Monday, August 18, 2020 to late January 2020 (under construction)

Escalator construction:

Monday, January 5, 2020 - Late April 2020

• The period may vary depending on the construction situation.
• We will provide separate notice regarding construction plans after May 2026.

2. Scope of impact

1. Please note that we will be restricting the use of some of the parking spaces in the large parking lot on the first floor (In-bound lane).
   • If the In-bound side is full, we will direct you to the large parking lot on Out-bound side.
2. The bus stop and motorcycle parking space have been relocated.
3. 1階～3階の下りエスカレーター・階段半分（北側）および4階～5階の階段は、終日利用を制限させて頂きます。（4階～5階の階段は1月下旬まで）
   • Please use the elevator or indoor stairs.
4. Use of the stairs between the 3rd and 4th floors, and the escalators and passageways between the 3rd and 5th floors will be restricted during weekday nights (22:00 - 7:00 the following morning) (until late January).

(1) Some parking spaces in the large parking lot on the first floor (In-bound lane) are unavailable.

• Please note that this is a different route from the normal route.
• If the large parking lot on In-bound lanes is full, we will direct you to the large parking lot on Out-bound lanes.
  In that case, please follow the instructions of the guides.
• The period of usage restrictions may be changed depending on the progress of construction.

From early February

(3) Out-bound escalators and half of the stairs (north side) on the 1st to 3rd floors and the stairs on the 4th to 5th floors will be closed all day. (The stairs on the 4th to 5th floors will be closed until late January.)

(4) Use of the stairs between the 3rd and 4th floors, and the escalators and passageways between the 3rd and 5th floors will be restricted during weekday nights (22:00 - 7:00 the following morning) (until late January).

3. Overview of the renovation work

At PA, the aging stairs, escalators and roof will be completely renovated.
The roof will have a membrane roof structure, transforming the space into one with an open feel.
