NEXCO EAST Ichihara Management Office (Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture) will be closing the E14 Keiyo Road Chiba East Junction (hereinafter referred to as the JCT) at night to carry out pavement repair work on the ramp from the E82 Chiba-Togane Road In-bound to Keiyo Road Out-bound (towards Matsugaoka Interchange (IC)).

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you may have some time when you go out.

1. 1. Closed at night and date and time

2. Closing date and time
   Monday, June 5th to Friday, June 9th, 2017, from 9pm to 5am each day
   There will be an eight-hour night closure for five nights per day.
   (Backup days: June 12th (Mon) - June 16th (Fri), 9pm to 5am each day)

• In case of stormy weather, the planned closure on that day will be canceled and postponed from the next day.
  It will be postponed for the number of days it was canceled. (We will not postpone after June 16).
• Judgment of construction will be made around 16:00 on the day of construction.

It usually takes about 3 minutes from Chiba Higashi IC to Matsugaoka IC, but if you make a detour, it will take about 10 minutes (about 7 minutes increase), so please take time to go out.

3. Construction overview

As the section from Keiyo Road Chiba Higashi JCT Chiba-Togane Road In-bound to Keiyo Road Out-bound (towards Matsugaoka IC) is a one-lane section, it will be closed at night to carry out repairs to the damaged pavement.

In order to minimize the impact on customers, we will carry out the work intensively and efficiently by closing it on weekdays at night when traffic is light.

We ask for your understanding and cooperation so that customers can use the Expressway safely and comfortably.

5. Transfer arrangements due to the closure

For passengers who leave the Expressway once due to night closure and bypass the closed section and transfer again in the forward direction, we will perform "transit adjustment" to adjust the toll according to the section used. Attachment 2 [PDF: 114KB]

How to use transit adjustment

<ETC customers>

• Please use the same ETC card for the entire process of the toll gate that once leaks, the toll gate when transferring, and the final toll gate after transferring, and please use ETC wireless communication at both the entrance and exit.
  (No transit certificate will be issued for ETC vehicles)
• ETC time zone discount will be applied, considering the transited journey as one.
  The price display shows the amount before the price adjustment. The amount will be the amount after adjusting the fee when billing from a credit card company, etc. at a later date.

<Customers such as cash>

• Customers who pay in cash, etc., must receive the "transfer certificate" at the outflow IC, collect a passport at the re-inflow IC, and pass the "transfer certificate" at the toll gate that pays the fee first. Please give me your ticket.
