Overview of Sustainability Finance
NEXCO東日本は、株式会社格付投資情報センター（R＆I）からサステナビリティ・ファイナンスに関する第三者評価を取得しています。
Sustainability finance is a method of raising funds aimed at funding projects that solve social and environmental issues.
Since June 2019, NEXCO EAST has been using funds raised through social finance to fund Expressway projects, working to resolve social issues such as regional revitalization, disaster prevention, promoting road safety, and environmental conservation. However, in the field of road traffic, issues such as traffic jams due to heavy snow, and landslides and slope collapses due to heavy rain have been occurring, making it important to ensure alternative road networks in the event of a disaster.
こうした現状をふまえ、既存のソーシャル・ファイナンスフレームワークに「気候変動への適応」という環境的課題の解決を加えたサステナビリティ・ファイナンスフレームワーク（本フレームワーク）を策定し、第三者評価機関であるR＆Iから国際資本市場協会（ICMA：International Capital Market Association）が定めるサステナビリティボンド・ガイドライン等に適合しているとのセカンドオピニオンを取得しました。NEXCO東日本は、本フレームワークに基づき、サステナビリティボンド及びローン並びにソーシャルボンド及びローンによる資金調達をおこなってまいります。
