We would like to inform you about the outline of the 11th fiscal year interim financial results of NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). This interim period will be the half year from April 1, 2015 to September 30, 2015.
Point of 2015 interim results (consolidated)
- Expressway business, operating revenue was 441.9 billion yen (up 12.9 billion yen from the previous year) due to increased toll revenue.
On the other hand, operating expenses amounted to 410.2 billion yen (up 9.8 billion yen from the previous fiscal year) due to factors such as an increase in road property rent. - As a result, operating income for the Expressway business for the current interim period was 31.7 billion yen, but is expected to be 3.9 billion yen for the full year.
- The reason for the higher operating income in the first half compared to the full year is that our toll revenues are higher in the first half than in the second half, and management expenses tend to be higher in the second half in terms of snow and ice countermeasure costs.
