We would like to inform you about the outline of the 12th fiscal year interim financial results of NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). The current interim period is a half year from April 1, 2016 to September 30, 2016.
Points for FY2016 interim results (consolidated)
- Expressway business, operating revenues were 443.9 billion yen (up 1.9 billion yen from the previous year) due to increased toll revenue.
On the other hand, operating expenses were 401.8 billion yen (a decrease of 8.3 billion yen from the previous year) due to factors such as a decrease in road asset rent. - As a result, operating income for the Expressway business in the current interim period was 42.1 billion yen, but is expected to be 9.3 billion yen for the full year.
- The reason for the higher operating income in the first half compared to the full year is that our toll revenues are higher in the first half than in the second half, and management expenses tend to be higher in the second half in terms of snow and ice countermeasure costs.
