How to use smart IC
When using smart ICs, please note the following points after the social experiment.
- A smart IC is an interchange exclusively for ETC. A valid ETC card is securely inserted into the vehicle equipped with the ETC on-board unit that has been installed and set up according to the prescribed method, and it is possible to enter and leave the vehicle with the ETC system available.
- Please note that the smart IC has a system in which the open/close bar opens after communication is carried out after the smart IC has stopped before the open/close bar. If the bar does not open even if you stop it, press the communication start button.
- Please note that there are restrictions on operating hours, direction of entry and exit, and target vehicle types.
- Doorways may be closed without notice if necessary for road management. In this case, please use the nearest IC.
- Smart IC does not handle the tasks other than smart IC, such as highway card refunds, replacements, and non-payments, which are performed in the Expressway toll gate office.
