About fall of windbreak fence from Hachiriku Hokuriku Expressway Naitsubashi

A windbreak fence installed on the Hokuriku Expressway Nadachi Bridge managed by NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Chuo-ku, Niigata City) was found to have fallen on the city road that passes below.

No third party damage due to this has been confirmed.

We take this situation very seriously and conduct an emergency inspection of the Nadachi Bridge on the morning of the 18th, as well as an inspection of locations where windbreak fences of the same structure are installed.

Joetsu City contacted our Joetsu Management Office to inform us that a metal plate that had been installed on the Hokuriku Expressway had dropped. As a result of checking the site at the same office, it was confirmed that it was a windbreak fence.
