Joban Expressway Restoration/Maintenance Goal Following the Decontamination of the Ministry of the Environment

Regarding the restoration and maintenance work between the Joban Expressway Hirono Interchange (IC) and the Minamisoma IC, the construction work was completely restarted after the decontamination work of the Ministry of the Environment was completed. Announced on August 31, 2012 We will proceed according to the following schedule.

Hirono IC-Joban Tomioka IC (17km extension)

Aim to open within 2013.

Namie IC-Minamisoma IC (18km extension)

Aiming to open within 2014.

Joban Tomioka IC-Namie IC (14km extension)

Aim to open within 2014 without major delay to other open sections.

We will aim for early opening to meet the expectations of everyone in Fukushima Prefecture, with President and Chief Executive Officer Hirohisa Hiroshi encouraged the site early next month.
