料金所を突破した不正通行者の逮捕について
～NEXCO東日本は今後も不正通行には毅然と対応します～

　新潟県警察高速道路交通警察隊新潟分駐隊は4月26日、日本海東北自動車道の新潟空港料金所のETCレーンにおいて、通行料金を支払うことなく強行突破した不正通行者を、道路整備特別措置法違反（不正通行）の容疑で逮捕したと発表しました。

　今回の逮捕は、本件容疑者が料金所のETCレーンで料金を支払うことなく、強行突破を行ったものを、車線カメラ画像をもとに当社が新潟県警察に通報したことが契機となったものです。

To date, we have taken a strong stance of not allowing unauthorized traffic so as not to damage customers' trust in the toll road business. We believe that the recent arrest of a person who commits malicious tolls will help ensure fairness in toll charges and prevent unauthorized tolls.

We will continue to take a resolute attitude toward illegal traffic and will actively cooperate with police investigations to tackle illegal traffic.

The suspect will be checked for toll charges and will be charged a surcharge (twice the illegal toll charge) in addition to the illegal toll charge.
