Temporary change in toll handling due to free opening of the Choshi Access Road (Matsuo Yokoshiba IC)

NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture) will have the Choshi Access Road managed by the Chiba Prefectural Road Corporation open for free on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays in September 2016 and October 2016. Due to this, the handling of tolls at Ken-o Expressway /Matsuo Yokoshiba IC, which pays tolls on the Choshi Access Road, will be changed as follows.

Customers who pay by cash

When entering the Ken-o Expressway from Choshi Access Road via Matsuo Yokoshiba IC

Saturday, Sunday and public holidays of September 2016 and October 2016
Only the Expressway pass will be given.

Period other than the above
After paying the toll fee for the Choshi connecting road at the toll gate (entrance), you will be given a Expressway toll ticket.

Ken-o Expressway via Matsuo Yokoshiba IC and then into the Choshi connecting road

Saturday, Sunday and public holidays of September 2016 and October 2016
You only pay for the tolls on the Expressway.

Period other than the above
Tollgate at (exit) Expressway in conjunction with the toll you pay the toll of Choshi access road.

Customers using ETC

You can still use the ETC lane, but during the free opening period, you will only have to pay the tolls on the Expressway, excluding the tolls on the Choshi Access Road.

  • It is not possible to use only the Choshi connecting road. If you enter the Choshi Access Road from the Yokoshiba Hikari IC, you will not be able to exit the Matsuo Yokoshiba IC, so a separate toll for the Ken-O Road Expressway will be charged.
