NEXCO EAST Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Management Office (Kisarazu City, Chiba Prefecture) and Trans-Tokyo Bay Highway Co. (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) recruited works from July to October 2022 "CA Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway & Umihotaru 25th Anniversary Photo Contest”, a review committee was held with photographer Erina Yamazaki as the chairperson of the review committee, and 10 prize-winning works were decided. Kunio Kawana's work "Niji no Kakehashi" was selected as the grand prize winner. Please see the official website of Umihotaru for the winning works.
In addition to the 10 prize-winning works, the 17 works selected as honorable mentions will be exhibited in the Umihotaru parking area until February 28, 5th year of Reiwa.
The theme of this contest was "Scenery from Umihotaru, memories of Umihotaru, scenery and life with Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway from Kisarazu and the sea", and the total number of entries was 585.
NEXCO EAST and Tokyo Bay Crossing Road Co., Ltd. are making various efforts to contribute to the achievement of SDGs through the Expressway business.
We believe that the efforts of this "Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway 25th Anniversary Photo Contest" will contribute to the 8th SDGs goal as a business activity that will lead to the promotion of the sustainable tourism industry.
