Until now, you have been able to check real-time road traffic information on highway information terminals at rest areas.
Meanwhile, Drive Traffic (DraTra Tora) allows users to check real-time road traffic information, congestion forecasts, construction restrictions, and the expected reopening of road closures due to accidents from their smartphones. It also supports five languages, including Japanese. ^*1
Therefore, in order to centralize information dissemination on the highly convenient "DraTra," we have suspended operation of highway information terminals at rest facilities in Hokkaido, Aomori, Iwate, Akita, Miyagi, Yamagata, and Fukushima prefectures since June 2025.From September 2025, we will gradually suspend operation of highway information terminals at rest facilities throughout our jurisdiction.
Please feel free to use "DraTra" at rest facilities as well.

How to obtain road traffic information at rest facilities that are out of operation

The "DraTra" QR code will be displayed on posters etc. Please scan it with your smartphone etc. to check road traffic information.
Please refrain from using your smartphone while driving as it is extremely dangerous.
