III-2. Basic policy

Positioning
  • The period from fiscal 2005 to fiscal 2010 is positioned as the "period for establishing a management base".

Management policy

  • We will endeavor to improve customer satisfaction, placing first priority on contact with customers who use the Expressway.
  • Under thorough cost reduction, we will operate efficiently and pay the Expressway loan steadily.
  • We will strive to improve credibility and fulfill our corporate social responsibility (CSR) through fair and transparent management, such as rigging prevention and review of family companies.

Business goals

  • While ensuring safe and smooth road traffic, we will continue to reduce management costs (30% reduction compared to FY1999), provide flexible fee setting using ETC and various services, and are easy to use and secure. Pursue the Expressway
  • While thoroughly reducing costs by reviewing the road structure and technological development, we will promote a new road construction project of approximately 500km and a four-lane project of approximately 100km. In addition, we will utilize the technology and know-how of the new section under direct control to cooperate with the national business promotion and contribute to the construction of a reliable Expressway network in the East Japan region.
  • In the service area and parking area, we will actively introduce convenience stores, expand local products and restaurants, and provide products and services that meet the diverse needs of customers using Expressway. In addition, we will expand into new businesses that utilize management resources such as Expressway.
