East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. ・Central Japan Expressway Co., Ltd.・Western Japan Expressway Co., Ltd. (hereinafter NEXCO3 company) is a prestressed polyethylene tube (hereinafter PE sheath) at Expressway. We have completed an emergency inspection of a concrete bridge, and we will inform you about the results.
1 Inspection result
NEXCO3 carried out an inspection of the prestressed concrete bridge using PE sheath during construction and operation, and it was found that there were no changes when it was inspected from March 27 to April 7, 2008.
2 Inspection method
For the bridges in service, we got off the inspection vehicle and visually inspected the pavement surface and the underside of the bridge from the ground. For the bridge under construction, we also visually inspected the top and bottom surfaces of the bridge.
