NEXCO EAST will open the theme area "Onihei Edo-dokoro" on the Tohoku Expressway Hanyu Parking Area (In-bound) at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 19th.
On the opening day, we will hold a ceremony that begins with the traditional folk song "Kiragiri", and liven up the venue with various events to bring the new Edo town to life.
"Onihira Edo-dokoro" uses various techniques ranging from buildings to meals and souvenirs, employee works, and the sales of the town that echo in the hall. Reproduce.

NEXCO EAST we are developing a theme area that creates a unique world view with SA/PA with location characteristics. As for the theme area, we have been developing a parking area with the theme of "The Little Prince" in the Kan-Etsu Expressway Yorii PA (In-bound line) from June 2010, and "Onihei Edo-dokoro" is the second facility. Onihira Edo-dokoro was established in 1745, when the main character of the historical novel "Onihira criminal textbook" was born, Nobuto Hasegawa Heizo Nobuhei. ~ 1829). With the supervision and guidance of folk scholar Noritake Kanzaki, the design of Mr. Takanori Aiba, who is art director, is particular about "genuine" from architecture to small items. We aim to create a space full of feeling.
This project marks the 90th anniversary of the birth of the late Shohei Ikenami, the author of the Onihira criminal record book, and was made possible through a partnership and cooperation with Office Ikenami Co., Ltd., which manages his copyright.
