NEXCO EAST (Ken-O Road-ku, Tokyo) will open the new Bando Parking Area (hereinafter "PA") (Yumida, Bando City, Ibaraki Prefecture) on the outer loop of the C4 Ken-o Expressway (hereinafter "Ken-O Expressway") between Bando Interchange (hereinafter "IC") and Joso Interchange.
By installing a new rest facility on the outer loop of Ken-O Road between the E4 Tohoku Expressway (Kuki Shiraoka Junction (hereinafter referred to as "JCT") and the E6 Joban Expressway (Tsukuba JCT), we aim to improve customer safety and convenience.
A commercial facility (a FamilyMart convenience store) will also open in conjunction with the installation of the PA.

Four. Features of the facility
Environmental consideration through energy saving + energy creation
~Nearly ZEB~
The building is expected to achieve Nearly ZEB* status by introducing lighting and ventilation equipment that saves energy while creating a comfortable indoor environment, as well as renewable energy through the use of solar panels.
≪Introduction of energy-saving equipment (LED lighting)≫
- Nearly ZEB means a reduction of 50% or more from the standard primary energy consumption (excluding renewable energy), a reduction of 75% or more and less than 100% from the standard primary energy consumption (including renewable energy)
Producing a sense of local character through local cherry blossoms such as Benisasima
The park has been planted with local cherry trees, "Benisashima," to create a harmony with the local area. In addition, benches have been placed in various locations while ensuring personal space, creating a space where drivers can relieve fatigue and refresh their mind and body.
Family restroom safe for children
お子様連れのお客さまにも安心してご利用いただけるよう、ご家族でご利用いただける「家族トイレ」を設置します。家族トイレはおむつ替えにもご利用いただけます。
坂東市との連携により、坂東市のあぴ～るキャラクター「ねぎ爺」「ねぎ婆」を壁面に配置しました。

Like its stores in the city, FamilyMart will offer coffee and frappes at FAMIMA CAFÉ, hot snacks including the classic Famichiki, and a variety of products from FamilyMart's private brand Famimaru, known for its delicious, happy, and safe flavors. As a Expressway store, it will also stock local souvenirs such as Masakado Senbei rice crackers, a specialty of Bando City.

Highway stamps that promote the charm of the region
Highway stamps will be installed to coincide with the opening of the outer loop.
The stamp designs were selected from a competition among elementary school children (4th to 6th grade) attending elementary schools in the city, as a first for NEXCO EAST, in collaboration with Bando City, with the aim of providing a learning opportunity for children to explore the attractions of the region and to spread the word about them themselves.
