The 14 representative dishes that won the prefectural and regional qualifying rounds for the 2nd NEXCO EAST Highway Meal Koshien have been decided!

NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) and NEXCO East Japan Area Tract Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo) are holding the 2nd NEXCO EAST Highway Meal Koshien, which will determine the No. 1 "highway meal" that makes use of the local characteristics of service areas and parking areas (hereinafter referred to as "SA/PA").
This time, from a total of 125 "Second Generation Highway Meals" that each store boasts, customers voted to select 14 dishes that would win prefectural and prefectural qualifying rounds and advance to the finals.
During the qualifying period, we received 89,897 votes. Customers will also vote in the final round, which begins on January 15th, to determine the "No. 1 Highway Meal."
By turning SAs and PAs into "regional show windows" that promote the delicious ingredients and local gourmet food of each prefecture, we will contribute to the promotion of tourism and continue to promote the creation of SAs and PAs that satisfy more customers.

Voting at SA/PA

Customers ^(★) who order the "Second Generation Highway Meal" entry menu at each SA/PA store will be given a card to vote on the spot.

SNS voting

Even if you can't make it to the SA/PA in person, you can still participate in the "2nd NEXCO EAST Highway Meal Koshien" by voting on social media and support each entry menu!
Ten people who vote will be randomly selected to receive a digital gift of their choice worth 10,000 yen.

★Order benefits

To commemorate our 20th anniversary, we will be giving away a 200 yen shopping voucher to be used in the shopping corner to all customers who order the "Second Generation Highway Meal" entry menu during the period leading up to the end of the "Finals"!
In addition, those who rate the "Second Generation Highway Meal" entry menu they eat will be entered into a lottery to win a luxurious prize on the spot.

15 winners will receive a JTB Nice Gift worth 15,000 yen, 40 winners will receive special products from Eastern Japan worth 10,000 yen, and 100 winners will receive a souvenir set from Eastern Japan worth 2,000 yen.

He is a certified meat expert and rice sommelier, and has traveled around the country eating at 15,000 restaurants at his own expense. His gourmet-focused social media account (@fallindebu) has over 600,000 followers. Driven by his desire to revitalize Japan through food, he serves as an advisor for the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications on creating regional strengths, and is also a supporter of local highway meals at NEXCO EAST!

Local mascots also support highway meals!

"Highway Meals," which promote the charms of each region, will collaborate with local mascots promoting each prefecture to support the battle for the "second generation highway meal" of each prefecture.

NEXCO EAST 's service areas and parking areas are currently running a promotion with the theme "ENJOY! Detours" to help customers enjoy their Expressway driving even more.
When using Expressway, why not take a detour to a service area or parking area and try some "highway food" that makes the most of the local characteristics?
