　Due to severe congestion caused by traffic concentration during specific times on weekends and holidays, the CA Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway is conducting a social experiment with ETC time-based tolls, which vary the discounted tolls for certain time periods.
At the 5th Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Traffic Facilitation Measures Study Meeting (Chair: Director of the Road Planning Division, Chiba Prefectural Government), it was noted that while the social experiment conducted from April 2025 showed some effect in alleviating congestion, it was also indicated that it is necessary to continuously analyze and evaluate the effects over a certain period. Therefore, we have decided to continue the social experiment in fiscal year ²⁰²⁶, maintaining the current tolls and implementation conditions.

• This may be revised depending on the budget situation of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
