NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Sapporo City Atsubetsu-ku) has summarized the traffic conditions of the Expressway in Hokkaido during the Obon period as follows.
Average daily traffic volume during one period
The average daily traffic volume on the main sections is as shown in the table below.
- The number of vehicles used during the period increased by 6% from the previous year.
- The amount of traffic in the major sections of the road has increased compared to the previous year.
- There are many sections with the highest traffic volume on 8/14 (Wednesday) or 8/15 (Thursday), and the traffic volume tends to decrease from the previous year in the first half of the period, and the traffic volume tends to increase from the previous year in the second half. Did.
In particular, it is frequently used on the Doo Expressway (toward the South) and Doto Expressway.
