NEXCO EAST Muroran Management Office (Muroran City) will carry out crime prevention training for the year-end and New Year holidays jointly with the Yakumo Police Station for Hakodate in Hokkaido.

The purpose of this training is to verify the crime prevention system at the Expressway tollgates, raise the awareness of crime prevention among the tollgate staff, and confirm appropriate emergency measures and emergency contact systems.

A criminal masquerading as a customer points a pistol at an agent at the toll booth, invades the office, and requests cash. After robbing the cash, escape from the parked car. The clerk throws a color ball into the criminal's car and reports the crime situation to the Yakumo Police Station and our road control center. (The criminal is a police officer.)
