As we reach the sixth year of the “Wheel Smart Interchange (hereinafter “Wheel Smart IC”)” that was opened on June 29, 2009, we will inform you about the “usage status” and “effect of opening” for five years after the opening.
Since opening, the number of vehicles used has increased about 1.7 times
Since opening in 2009, the number of vehicles used has been increasing year by year, and the number of vehicles used per day in the 5th year of opening has increased by about 1.7 times compared to the first year of opening.
Supporting corporate activities in neighboring industrial parks
From the companies located in the neighboring industrial parks or the companies planning to locate the sites, we have heard voices regarding their use in sales activities and product transportation.
Contribute to the local tourism industry
Accessibility from the Expressway to Kitahiroshima City's main tourist facilities has improved. It is used by many people during large-scale events.
Supporting emergency medical transportation
It is used for more than 100 emergency transports each year.
