NEXCO EAST Sapporo Management Office (Shiroishi Ward, Sapporo City) is collaborating with students from Hokkaido University of Education, Iwamizawa Campus to screen projection mapping at the Nopporo Parking Area (PA) (In-bound, Sapporo direction) on the E5 Do-O Expressway (Do-o Expressway) and the Kanayama Parking Area (PA) (inbound, Otaru direction) on the E5A Sasson Expressway (In-bound Expressway). This will be part of customer service during the winter and as a regional collaboration initiative.

Students from Hokkaido University of Education, Iwamizawa Campus, were involved in the planning and production of the video, including the creation of a story and animation based on the concept of "projection mapping that makes use of Hokkaido's snow."
This year's video will bring you a soothing and warm world view featuring "cute animals with ties to Hokkaido."

In preparation for the screening, the snow-covered mountain within the PA was used as a screen, making the most of the winter environment.

As part of our regional collaboration, Hokkaido University of Education, Iwamizawa Campus, is cooperating with us in the art gallery corner of the Iwamizawa Service Area (SA) (Out-bound, heading towards Asahikawa), where we are exhibiting paintings created by students. This projection mapping screening has been underway since 2023, and this is the third time it has been held.
This seasonal initiative, where students' creativity meets the pure white canvas of Hokkaido's winter landscape, is sure to bring a moment of relaxation to visitors. Please come and cover the event.
