　NEXCO東日本　室蘭管理事務所（室蘭市）は、北海道大谷室蘭高等学校、知的障がい者総合援護施設「太陽の園」と連携し、E5道央自動車道（道央道）有珠山サービスエリア（SA）にて、ひまわりの種の収穫作業を行います。
　この取り組みは、平成30年から参加している「福島ひまわり里親プロジェクト」の一環で、東日本大震災からの復興支援を目的としています。また、SAを樹木や草花で彩り、お客さまが利用しやすく、リフレッシュできるやすらぎの空間へと整備する「花と緑のやすらぎ　ハイウェイガーデン　プロジェクト」と、高速道路を地域活性化の資源として活用し、障がい者の方々の就労機会を拡大する「高福（幸福）連携」の推進にもつながる取り組みです。ぜひ、ご取材ください。

"Fukushima Sunflower Foster Parent Project”What is
As part of activities aimed at supporting recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake, we purchased sunflower seeds from welfare facilities for the disabled in Fukushima Prefecture, harvested the seeds from the grown flowers, and sent them to Fukushima to serve as symbols of recovery at schools and companies in Fukushima. This is an initiative to make the sunflowers that are.
Today, it is widely used across the country not only for reconstruction assistance, but also as part of children's education and corporate CSR.

Origin of the name
The name was inspired by the idea of "agricultural welfare collaboration," which is the collaboration between agriculture and welfare.
The logo mark is designed with the character for "person" (hito) placed on Expressway, with our company on the right and our partner on the left, supporting each other. It also looks like a plus sign, and is a design that evokes improvement.
