East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd.
Kanto Regional Head Office

NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo, Regional Head Office president: Shinichi Ishikawa) is pleased to announce that the customer will be able to use the ETC lane safely by opening the Tokyo Wan Aqua-Line Expressway Kisarazu Kaneda No. 1 (Kisarazu Main Line) tollgate in its jurisdiction. At the 4 toll booths, including the first, we will implement countermeasures for exceeding ETC lane passing speed by delaying the opening timing of the ETC lane opening and closing bar.

1 Purpose of measures

In order to prevent accidents on the ETC lane and enable customers to use the ETC lane more safely, enter into the lane after decelerating to less than 20 km/h, as stipulated in the ETC System Usage Regulations. We ask you to drive slowly through our website, posters, leaflets, banners, etc. In addition, we are implementing measures to exceed the passing speed in the lane.

However, there are many customers who are far exceeding the speed. In such a case, if the ETC card is not inserted or inserted incompletely, a communication error may occur and the open/close bar may not open and may come into contact. In addition, a vehicle that does not have ETC (unsupported) that accidentally enters the ETC lane may suddenly stop and collide with the vehicle.

To prevent such unforeseen circumstances, to ensure the safety of customers and to use them with more peace of mind, we will implement measures to exceed the ETC lane passing speed by delaying the opening timing of the opening and closing bar of the ETC lane. is.
