NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office and NEXCO CENTRAL Tokyo Regional Head Office /Hachioji Regional Head Office, year-end and New Year holidays [December 24 (Wednesday) 2008-January 6 (Tuesday) 14 days] Kanto Koshin region and Shizuoka prefecture We would like to inform you that we have summarized the tendency of traffic congestion (10 km or more) due to the concentration of traffic that is expected to occur on the Expressway.

(2) For safe travel

Driving at night or for a long time can make you tired easily. Please take a proper break in the service area and try to drive safely.
Refueling and toilets in service areas during this period are expected to be crowded. Please finish as soon as possible before using the Expressway or before the congested section. - Please fasten your seat belt even in the back seat
From June 1, 2008, the revised Road Traffic Law was enforced, and it became mandatory to wear seat belts even in the rear seats. Be sure to fasten your seat belts properly not only in the driver's seat and passenger's seat, but also in the rear seats.
(3) For customers using ETC
- Make sure to insert the ETC card
If you forget to insert the ETC card or use it in the incompletely inserted state, the open/close bar will not work and it is extremely dangerous. Make sure that the ETC card is inserted into the in-vehicle device before using it.
In addition, after keeping a sufficient distance from the vehicle in front of the ETC lane, decelerate to 20 km / h or less and enter the ETC lane, slow down in the ETC lane, and stop safely. Please make sure that the open/close bar is open before passing.
(4) In case of accident or breakdown
- Please evacuate to a safe place promptly
If you stop due to a traffic accident or breakdown, staying on the road is very dangerous.
Please take the following actions for your safety.- Use hazard lamps, triangular stop signs, smoke tubes, etc. to notify the following vehicles of danger.
- Evacuate to a safe place, such as outside the guardrail, immediately while watching for passing vehicles.
