NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo), Nex-area Company Limited Mito Branch (Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture), Keiyo Branch (Koto-ku, Tokyo) and Trans-Tokyo Bay Highway Co. (Ota-ku, Tokyo) are service areas. (SA) ・Parking area (PA) The chefs working at restaurants have the motivation to develop menus, and as a part of “flower making” aiming to create unique stores, the theme is “Fun everyone's family menu” "NEXCO EAST 5th New Menu Contest Ibaraki/Chiba Block Preliminaries" will be held.

At the Ibaraki/Chiba block qualifying event, six SA/PA restaurants in Ibaraki and Chiba prefectures competed for a new menu using plenty of local ingredients, and one of them was selected as the highest award next March. I will challenge the final tournament held in Tokyo.

"Happy and fun family menu-Family group with local menu"

We would like to provide a place for families with children to enjoy meals and conversations with their parents during the trip. We hope that menus that use local ingredients, rather than just "children's lunch", will trigger "conversation" and "dandan" between parents and children, and the theme of this time is menu development including "children's menu".

5 conditions

  1. Use local ingredients including the main dish.
  2. The menu should meet the keywords "parent and child" and "family".
  3. Set menu for 3 persons (2 adults, 1 child).
  4. After the contest is over, it will be sold for 6 months in the area as soon as it is ready.

6 Examination method

Nine people such as cooking researchers and customer representatives will perform a tasting examination, and the work of one store that won the highest prize will be exhibited at the final competition (held on March 3, 2011 (Thursday)).

With the theme of energy, it is a dish that gives plenty of power to those who eat it, including plenty of local ingredients, such as yakiniku bowl using Hitachi beef and local vegetables, pork tongue stew from Ibaraki. (Discontinued due to improvement work)
